This is me.
Perhaps we've already crossed paths. I'm Amanda and I have been in the wine and spirits industry for 15+ years, starting in retail, moving onto fine wine, several years in spirits with much travelling and then a stint in big brand management.
I set up Drink Adventurous early 2023 to reach out to small to medium businesses that would like some help with their drinks offering, whatever the size and angle.
A few work examples...
In the off trade I have experience in buying, merchandising and system operations.
In the on trade it's all about menu development, managing suppliers and staff training.
As a brand manager for both niche and national account products, I can get your voice heard in a portfolio having built and activated annual plans, developed and run consumer activations, managed social media and community management and ensured regular communications of wins - and learnings - to keep moving forward.
What else have I done?
- Events: there is nothing I enjoy more than sharing my knowledge in an accessible way, so much so that I created a business around this in October 2019
- I've got a serious organisational streak and love a spreadsheet, whether that's calculating margins or monitoring budgets
- Reporting is key, against investment, past performance, competitors and industry data
- 360 planning is always the aim across departments, brands, customers and project timescales

In 2009 I passed the WSET Advanced (level 3), followed by WSET Spirits level 2 in 2016 and am one unit away from completing WSET Diploma (level 4), fingers crossed! I'm a 2012 Champagne Academy Alumni.
I have trained thousands of bar staff and consumers across the UK, France and Sweden in spirits history, cocktail legend and flavours, mainly in person but online during lockdown too.
